World Beers, T-Shirts, Wristbands & Raffle Draw

The publicans of Annascaul will be showcasing over twenty world beers all weekend… we hope to bring you a beer menu with a selection of easy drinking lagers, stronger Belgian beers and some rarer treats from Ireland and further afield. We will also be selling the official and limited edition Annascaul Beerfest 2013 T-shirts and wristbands. Finally there will a raffle draw for various prizes.
Cost: With a handful of exceptions, the festival beers will cost €4 a bottle, or €20 for six beer vouchers. The T-shirts will be on sale at €10 — and we also have some 2011 T-shirts left over which we will sell for €6. The wristbands cost €2 and the raffle draw is €5.
Friday 2 August
Irish Craft Beer & Food Tasting
9.00 pm @ venue TBC
We invite forty lucky ticket holders to an hour-long tasting of four Irish Craft Beer with tapas style food pairings. The actual beers and food pairings have been finalised and we hope to bring you a good selection of the Irish Craft Beer scene with four 100ml tasters.
10.30 pm @ South Pole Inn Marquee
Dingle band The Trend — featuring Annascaul guitar god Fergal O’Connor — will take the stage at the South Pole Inn Marquee to get this festival started!
Saturday 3 August
Annascaul Road Race
10 am starting near South Pole Inn
In aid of the Annascaul Sports Hall, this is not actually organised by the Annascaul Beerfest but we are putting it in our programme of events anyway! We are also giving race finishers a coupon that will allow them to buy one of the festival beers at the South Pole Inn for €3.
Runners/ Joggers/ Walkers only. No bicycles, or walking with pets. People under 16 to be accompanied by adult. Pre/ Post race facilities available in Annascaul sports hall. Annascaul vs Camp Legends Match
2 pm at Paddy Kennedy Memorial Park
A chance for the old and perhaps not-so-old former Annascaul GAA greats to roll back the years! At the moment the great Seánín Foley has agreed to manage the Annascaul outfit and we wait to see who takes on the Camp team. A family event with lots of laughs guaranteed!
3 pm at Festival Stage
At the time of writing we are waiting back from a solo singer with an impressive array of pedals. Watch this space!
5 pm at South Pole Inn Marquee
Tralee Party Band Renovator will really get the party started with their impressive playlist of rock monsters and indie anthems!
7 pm at Festival Stage
Camp band reminiscent of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers who can do covers but also have some exciting new material.
9 pm at Hanafin’s Bar
Our local dance DJ Danny O’Shea will bring a more relaxed vibe to the Annascaul Beerfest with his melodic trance and house music beats.
Dingle Vodka Bar
10 pm at Randy Leprechaun Marquee
The organisers of the Annascaul Beerfest will find themselves serving Dingle Vodka up at the madness of the Randy Leprechaun Bar!
Cost: €4 per measure. Mixers also available.
11 pm at Randy Leprechaun
To finish off the night DJ Nat will get you on the dance floor with her mix of 80s, 90s and present day hits!
Sunday afternoon gives a chance for festival goers to relax be it with a walk on the peaceful country lanes or perhaps a visit to Inch to take a surfing lesson. Many festival goers will find themselves back in the pubs of Annascaul cheering on their county-men in the All-Ireland Football Quarter Finals.

Bringing you meats from the famous triumvirate of Annascaul butchers, this is a BBQ not to be missed!
Cost: €8 all-you-can-eat
5.45 pm at Festival Stage
Top Mid-Kerry outfit Blame Jane will bring their excellent sound to provide a back-drop to the BBQ.
Road Trip to Dingle and Hillgrove Niteclub
9 pm at Festival Stage — Returning from Dingle at 3 am
Perhaps not for all but the organisers themselves traditionally head to Dingle Sunday night to celebrate a great weekend of organising and running around. This will allow you to visit some of the famous pubs of Dingle such as Dick Mack’s and Foxy John’s! You are all invited to join us as we head the 10 miles to Dingle for a couple of hours including entry to the world famous Hillgrove Niteclub!
Cost: €15 (The Hillgrove Niteclub are kindly donating €2.50 per person to the fundraising pot)
All Day at Hanafin’s Bar
For those who are still hanging around we will have some bar games set up in Hanafin’s Bar including Beer Pong and the rules and props for a number of other bar games.
9 pm at Randy Leprechaun Bar
You really should be gone home at this stage but if not it’s time to let go of those inhibitions and just belt it out!
